For our young people and the wider community
The Elstead Marathon is a historic event run by a team of dedicated volunteers and supported by our valued sponsors, for the benefit of our young people and the wider community. The Elstead Scout Group rely on proceeds from the marathon to deliver a wonderful program of activities to members aged between 6 and 18. We donate to worthy causes each year, and in 2024 we are supporting Momentum, a charity who support families of seriously ill children. We are also supporting Lollipops Playgroup who take care of our children right here in Elstead village.
So please consider running, volunteering, sponsoring, or simply turning up on the day to show your support. Together, we will strive to make the 2024 Elstead Marathon another fantastic community event!

How to Register
We have a pre-registration evening which at the Youth Centre in Elstead (date and time TBA). Alternatively you can sign up from 5:30pm until the start of the race at 7pm on the green on the evening of the event. The cost is £6 for the short race (3 miles) and £15 for the long race (5.5 miles).
We do some other pre-registration with some of the local running groups or for larger groups so if you fall into this category, please get in contact.

The first Elstead Marathon was held in 1912, during the reign of King George V.
